Brand Spotlight: Prevo Custom Cabinetry

In our last post, we talked about how to create an eco-friendly kitchen design. So it only makes sense that  today, we're going to highlight one of the brands we mentioned, Prevo Custom Cabinetry, among our favorite companies to work with both for their beautiful, high-quality products, and their commitment to sustainability.

What they do: Prevo is one of the higher-end luxury cabinet manufacturers we work with at Divine. They offer custom-built, face frame cabinetry manufactured using solid hardwoods. All of  the company's products--which include kitchen cabinetry, bathroom vanities, custom-built library shelving, and more--are designed and built in Pennsylvania Dutch Country by in-house woodworkers, and have perfected their trade over more than 25 years in business.

Why we love them: For one, their products are truly built with care and meant to last. The employees at Prevo are masters of their craft, and create products that we are proud to deliver and install.

As mentioned above, in addition to their high-quality products, the company is also committed to sustainability and environmental responsibility. Standard or lower-end cabinetry often uses plywood made with formaldehyde-containing adhesives, and varnishes and paints that often contain high levels of VOCs. Prevo's cabinetry, on the other hand, meet strict formaldehyde off gassing standards, including those set by CARB, and they also offer low- and no-VOC finishes. The company also sources all of the its hardwoods from FSC-managed forests, and even uses blankets to wrap cabinets for shipping, instead of disposable plastic, paper and cardboard wrap.
